Allow Bead Chroma to host your child's next birthday party! Leah creates a fun & creative atmosphere perfect for kids and teens (or even adults!) who love to create! Parties can be customized based on age and what the group wants to make, with our most popular option being bracelet making. For younger guests (around ages 7–10) elastic stretchy bracelets are usually best, while older kids, teens, and adults can be booked to make a more complex bracelet strung on jewelry wire with a clasp, should they prefer.
Parents are welcome to bring drinks, snacks, and decorations and, if time allows, after jewelry-making the birthday star is welcome to open presents here at the shop, as well!
Popular 2-hour Party Packages:
Elastic bracelet . . . $25 per maker
Great for all ages, the ease of wearing a stretchy bracelet is convenient and fun for anyone! This party will be less about technical skills and will focus more on picking fabulous colors & textures and having fun with design.
Bracelet with Clasp . . . $30 per maker
Great for older kiddos (10+), teens, and even adults who have an occasion to celebrate! This party will have a little more structure as makers not only design their own fabulous bracelet but also learn how to string their beads on top-of-the-line jewelry beading wire and add a clasp for a clean and professional touch!
Birthday party packages above include . . .
• Up to 2 hours of classroom time that can be used for picking out beads, creating your bracelet, and any snacking, opening presents, etc.
• All materials/tools needed with access to the Bead Bar for all the beads you need for your bracelet + access to the Charm Bar! (1 charm per maker included - additional charms priced a la carte).
• Staff assistance to guide makers along and help with designing and finishing (if needed).
As an additional treat for kids & teens . . .
• Goodie Bags will also go home with each young person maker as a free bonus from Bead Chroma! (approx. value: $8-10+ per bag) We love to encourage beads and jewelry making excitement in our future generation of makers!! This is just a little bonus from Bead Chroma to help them discover and continue their potential new favorite hobby / passion!
Tips to help your Bead Chroma birthday party go as smoothly as possible:
• We all have that friend who's always late, am I right? LOL -- To help the party run smoothly and give everyone the full jewelry-making experience, please encourage your guests to arrive as close to the start time as possible, or even 5-10min early if they'd like! We begin with a short group instruction, and when guests arrive late, especially if several arrive late and at different times, it can interrupt the flow of the activity for the whole group. Being on time helps everyone start together and enjoy the full creative experience from the very beginning!
• If you want your party guests to enjoy some snacks, I kindly request avoiding greasy hand-held foods (like pizza) or messy foods (like Cheetos...Cheeto Fingers!! We all know what those are.), since yummy foods like those can make jewelry techniques tricky and leave fingers sticky!
• Feel free to bring along a cake to light with candles to sing Happy Birthday to the kiddo of the day!! Just a tip: consider handing out cupcakes instead - if creative time runs long, cupcakes can be a little easier for guests to take home.
• If you're planning on setting up balloons or other decorations, I recommend coming 15-30min early to get that going. However, please let me know ahead of time so I can make sure to have the classroom prepared for your use before your party start time.
